I apologize for wanting to better myself as a wordsmith, in spite of my own grammatical faults...But.....
ICW = INTRA Coastal Waterway and not Inter-coastal...
Intra = within two bodies of land of which water flows through
Inter = Land a body of water gouges and courses through
I hope this helps with your LTTE, to make a good impression.
(I have my own faults....but by posting this tidbit I hope others will learn as I did!) |

Now I am confusing myself :
http://www.answers.com/topic/intracoastal-waterway
Here, a couple hundred miles north of Corpus Christi, the ICW is spelled Intracoastal Water Way, as any given sign from Freeport to Sargent Beach will show you, as a seasonal passerby or habitual beach-comber, to acknowledge in big, bright white block letters imbedded on a background of a green sign nestled along barb-wired fences that align the side of the road.....
It may seem I'm debating mere semantics but I'm not, for the definitions I find online are overly vague and only give reference to crude scatological breeding grounds of a juvenile fishery. Or perhaps I'm too darn naive, and blind, of all things, to see I'm pulling a flock of sheeps' shorn wool over my eyes.
(Code: Johnny, one day I'll get it right!...At least I'm trying!)

(More code:)
I guess its the German blood...Mark Twain noted that it is innate to have bad blood verbiage, and to cast forth it to catastrophic affect, for one consecutive generation after another to bear its folly in weight! What a genuis for his insight! Quid pro Quo? A curse beyond the tenth generation? ....Whatever the case I find it fitting! |

| Thank you for the reply, Jerry B.... You have always remained kind, selfless, and willing to help a scattered mess of a man that I have become.... |

Bluffer,
No offense taken..Just bored out of my mind at times.... I catch 3-12 drum on any given fishing night, for the most part, at my secret hole, but it has become boring.....I need to renew and refresh myself.....Even at Bryan Beach I've caught 38 Blacktips and Sharpnoses to 3' feet this year..... Me thinks conservation is working!
Most of the time I post here I'm just rambling to hear my head wobble... |

The 'INTER' coastal waterway is full of 'PORPOISES'.
Just another term that I hear...that drives me up the frickin' wall.
THERE ARE NO RESIDING PORPOISES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO!
WHAT WE HAVE IN OUR BAYS ARE BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS! AKA - FLIPPER!
Rant Off!
