Maybe we can get together for an all-nighter "Meeting" and make some BBQ plates. I don't know of a particular establishment, maybe Dewey's or Blackhawk....somewhere to cook and a pick-up location. If I get some help, I am willing to cook and maybe someone can print tickets to sell. Chicken plates or Brisket and Sausage w/beans, rice, potatoe salad ect.....whatever. I will try to get donations for food items. Give me some input and any other suggestions on locations and such please.
Sorry John, and we are here to help your family. There are some fine folks on this site who love to cook and hoist a few. I'll see if I can get in touch with them. Prayers sent.

Thank you all for your prayers, they worked. Tiffany's mom (Cheri Holmes) is recovering well. Oxygen level are a little low, so they are keeping her on O2 for a while. But otherwise, she looks to be okay. There was a complication during the surgery, so they only performed a quadruple. What exactly, they won't say.
I also appreciate the raffle and cook out plate ideas. Tiffany checked into some options with the finance office, and they can apply for a grant because they are below the poverty line now, and may be able to have the whole thing covered that way.
We will know soon. If they don't get the grant, then I would love to do a raffle, I think it is a great idea. I have a new in the box Daiwa SLX 40 HV that will go on the raffle too. I want to thank both of you gentlemen for offering to donate rods. I have no idea how to run a raffle, but would be glad to learn how.
The cookout could be held right across the street from my inlaws house, they have a great parking lot between them and a church that is always empty and has plenty of grass and parking too.
Keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery, and thank you for those already said. _________________ GOBZA!!!

Paryers be with the family. Something you might want to check on is getting them on Medicaid. Also see if there is an OATH organization in corpus which helps provide drugs for people without the means to pay for them and without the drugs their lives would be in severe hardship. A lot of times, you can talk with the doctor, his billing manager, etc. and get the fees reduced because the family has no insurance. Don't hesitate to ask for a price reduction because of no insurance. What do you think attorney's do when they settle a client's case? It's all in how you ask and how you present the situation. Of course, the doctors and hospitals are out to make money, but every hospital must have a charitable side and it is up to you to make the inquiries to find out what options are available.
Hope this helps,
