Worked all week and was itching to go fishing and try out my fiance's kayak. Then I got double scheduled yesterday, so i was pretty determined to go today, no matter the weather. Got some live shrimp and put my yak in on the Northwestern side of the JFK bridge. Drifted the flats just north of the channel all the way down to the the Humble channel. Managed one 26" Red and a short trout under a popping cork.

The weather looked threatening, but never really amounted to much, except the wind. It was howling. I didn't realize how strong it was til i tried to paddle back into it to get back to my car. I quickly realized that was going to take forever so i got out and waded/fished my way back, picking up a small black drum on a carolina rig. There were a few other people out by the Humble. Saw one guy catch a decent looking flounder.
Sorry, no digital camera=no pics.

Any day on the water is better than any day in the office

Yea, that was probably me. It was a great workout. I didn't feel bad about not working out the rest of the week.
