Going in the morning. Do I have to watch for anything taking my boat out there for the first time? |

Beware of the submerged island just south of the Demmit Is. wall, you can run aground there if not careful......Get a map & study if youve never run in there. At least no rocks there to worry about like at Baffin. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

Bluffer is right. Invest a few bucks on a map. It will give you an idea of water depths. Once you are in the boat hole the water is nice and deep which is the reason that it is such a great place to fish during really cold weather. _________________ Big Ed

Watch the tides. North wind and low tide means extremely low tide.

w/ these low tides, there are lots of things to run into out in that area right now. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

| I had to help two guys push there blue wave off a big shallow sand spot one morning about 2 weeks ago. Tides were low and the water was way to cold to be in barefoot. |

stay in the green water, watch for dark spots and whiter sandy spots. go around the dark spots. Watch where the other boats go. Take someone else so they can get out and push. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

IMS, I love that last part! I had an idiot, no it all of a girlfriend many, many moons back who once INSISTED that I drive through a mudhole instead of backing out the way I came. I had a VW bus, pretty good mud critters. I told her that if we got stuck, SHE was getting out and doing the pushing................................................................................. she did, too! _________________ Dave
