 Go to that spot where the guy caught all the fish with the fly rod on Thursday. Apparently there's a bunch of fish there.

welcome newbee. try the packery, bob hall pier or the surf. anywhere can be good or bad from one minute to the next. search until you find. just about anyone will show you their tackle. decide where and then copy the equipment of the catchers.

I like to fish in the water. I find that fishing in trees, grass and the bush to be much less productive.
