Covida Loca - PINS - Eye of the Tiger Mega Smash Hit Shark Report

Well guys, here is another summer edition of the Covida Loca Report. This has been such an odd year with either explosive action or cooler dirty water. Generally, it has been really good though. And this year has reached incredible status in regards to tiger shark numbers on my charters. To put things in perspective, broke a previous record with landing 4 tigers (on 4 deployed baits) on a single trip! Hammers weren't as numerous or fierce as last year but the tigers are making up for it!

This summer I have had some killer charters with some awesome families and quite a few with other regular clients. There has been a huge emphasis on putting kids on good fish lately and we have succeeded as usual. A lot of the bigger sharks have been released with various Sat tags for Harte Research etc.

What do we have to look forward to? As we get to the tail end of summer with high tides from storms starting to make their way in the gulf, expect changes. Almost instantly right after the September storm surges, the Dusky Anchovy migration loves to hug the beach. This brings in a plethora of predators in the mix, including a copious amount of small/medium sharks. This will hinder chances at the giant sharks however they will still be around. But good news is there should be explosive action from now until November!

I am getting pretty stoked for this fall and we should have one heck of a fall fishing event!! This is one of the best times of the year on the beach and I do have a fair amount of charters booked til the end of the year. BUT I DO have availability for October through December and would encourage you to get with me ASAP if interested in an adventure either for yourself or your family - Let me know and I will do my best to squeeze you in on an awesome adventure you'll never forget!! For pure action, the late fall is my favorite time of the year. The time is right now to get in on a potential trip of a lifetime! Contact me via message or check out
Oceanepics.com for more info! Also, With these reports on Corpus Fishing, I am doing a special right now for if you book and overnight/2-day trip within the next few days, ALL kids under 16 are FREE with the standard adult booking (pending transportation). You have to make sure you mention to me this special promo offer on Corpus Fishing. Now is the time guys, get in on a trip or book now to secure your dates for next year!!!

All sharks were caught on Catch Sharks Leaders and Gear. The Incognito Acclimation AND Hammer-time leaders with Tru-Sand hooks have been crushing it! The big tigers came on the new Catch Sharks Viper24 hooks. Some of the tigers and the hammers and other big sharks were caught on the slightly smaller Hammertime 20/0 tru-sand hooks. Reds, small sharks, and rays have been hitting the Jack Slammers and Drum Masters.

Here are a few of the better quality photos that I really liked (almost all from charters) of just some of the fish during the Covida Loca '21 (Part IV) time period... Enjoy!
