Saw that the surf was supposed to lay down today, and although I had heard reports of dirty water I decided to give it a try. Threw topwaters as the sun rose. Not a single blowup. Cast-netted some live mullet and had a limit of trout and 2 reds before 9:30, went down the beach and spent some time with the family who came out later in the morning and picked up some big whiting on long rods. Waves got pretty big by late morning but water is clean. Finger mullet are in close in small groups so the large schools should follow within the next couple of weeks and I think the fishing is really gonna heat up. Tight lines.
