I am wanting to purchase a Floating Cabin Permit with or without Cabin. I would consider GLO Permanent Cabin also.
Please send me a PM if interested. |

| I went down to the cut to check on a few cabins and lots of the older ones didnt make it. Should be quite a few popping up. |

This is how I did it in the past. They will keep you updated when permits come available. Email Amy Nunez

Good morning,
If you could provide any cabin numbers or GPS coordinates, I could find out more information about individual permits, but currently there are no available cabin permits, but there are two options for trying to obtain a cabin permit.
First option: You can request from me, by email, a list of current permit holders in the counties or waterbodies you are interested in. I would then send you that list, with some maps if you would like, and you could contact the permit holders to see if anyone is interested in transferring their permit to you. You can also see if they are interested in taking on a partner if they don't want to transfer.
Second option: In 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011, we had sealed bid offerings for cabin permits. We might do that again in the future. If you would like, I can add your email address to the list I send out updates to on general cabin information.
Process for transfers: The current permit holder lets us know about their wish to transfer the permit. We send them a form to fill out that includes a place to put your contact information on it. We send you an application to fill out and return. Once we receive the application back, the field office conducts a field inspection of the cabin site, I draw up contracts, get approval from the School Land Board, send a letter requesting payment with the contracts to you for signature and notarization. You would then return the contracts to us, and we would have the contracts signed by the Commissioner, then we send one original back to you.
Permits are issued in 5-year terms, renewable if all contract conditions are met. There is a $325.00 transfer fee, $200.00 one-time refundable security deposit and an annual payment based on $0.60 per square foot for fee structures (basically everything but piers and walkways). At every 5 year renewal time there is a $175.00 renewal fee required as well.
Thank you for your interest in the Cabin Program. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day! _________________ <*)\\\><(
