Happy Birthday and congrats on a successful day on the water.
Always use a net to boat Flounder ... it is not easy to get a good hook set and the weight of the fish can help it shake the hook.
I wish I had that problem ... haven't hooked a flounder this year.
Will try once again when the wind will allow it.
