And when you couldn't get your Virgin Islands driver's license picture taken, because they didn't have any FLIM!

Not to give them any ideas, but do the city/county fathers/mothers drive around dispersing backyard beer bash get togethers too?? I can't remember being on a Corpus area beach when the wind wasn't blowing at least 20 knots. You would think that all of the Covid-19 droplets would be quickly whisked away and not be a problem especially if people would social distance and mask up. I guess you guys just can't be trusted to do what is right. I have been allowed to fish every day since this started without a mask here in Northern Arkansas and our state still has one of the very lowest positive test rates in the country. As of Monday we have to wear masks to enter any business, however most have been doing this all along. _________________ Gary J

Arkansas has a 13.9% Positivity Rate:
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/individual-states/arkansas
That is more than California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. |

| your mom wrote: | | They want to get that tourist money one last weekend before shutting down. I'm sure there are a lot of businesses afraid once it shuts down it might be for the rest of the summer. Which is very probable as I don't see any way the number of cases is going to drastically change in the next few weeks, and even if it did they would point to the decrease and say " see shutting down is the only way". |
On a normal summer, that might be it. But with the school situation trending toward a latter "in person" start dates, I think there might be some windfall, if you can call it that, due to an extended summer season. And lets face it, there are more better days in September than there are in August, minus any tropical activity or that crimson aquatic bloom which shall go unnamed. But hey, I am a glass half full kind of guy. |
