Hey everyone, looking for a used 4wd truck for less than 4K. Where are people selling these days? So many ads and dealer listings to sort through on Craigslist.

I wouldn't look for one down here if I were you. I am in the same boat - in fact my truck just crossed the 200k mark yesterday - but it's not 4x4. I intend to replace it soon, and I really dig the Ram Rebels...but if I go used, I will probably look for one in SA or Austin areas, less than 50k miles, and a recent year model with all the features I prefer. But I intend to spend way more than $4k...that's more like my down payment.

Anything around here 4x4 less than $4k is going to be torn to shreds, old, and problematic, if not rusted out entirely.

Check the SA & Austin markets. They have 4x4 users up there but they don't take them down island as much as we do. LOL
