About 1 this afternoon I start pacing around the house like a caged tiger. My wife says you look like you're getting antsy need to jump in the boat and go Fish. Ding ding ding correct answer. wasn't expecting much with the winds and I drove all the way out to the intracoastal to find some clean water. I drifted all the way from there all the way back to Pita. picked up two dink trout until I got to one of my holes that I've been fishing recently. Then I catch a 23 in red. so that made it successful. Before I went out I said if I catch a 25 inch trout or a slot red or bigger than I'll be satisfied. So my day was made. stopped at the 2-minute honey hole on the way in to check it out and it is ugly. Hopefully he'll give me or someone else pleasure and when he grows a few more inches.

When I got back from fishing this afternoon my friendly crane, Frasier, was looking for a handout. I trief to cast up some mullet for him and I was getting a bunch of menhaden. I thought man with the menhaden here the trout ought to be here tonight on the lights. Went out there a little while ago and I was not disappointed. There was a school of trout just going crazy feeding on menhaden. I caught a 14 inch and 2 18s. And then they scattered. Sitting there on my bench waiting from them to start coming back all of a sudden I see one that had to go mid-twenties. I made a cast with my little fishies and it followed it but didn't hit at it. About that time of boat comes down the canal and just scattered everything. I'm going to have to give them about 10-15 minutes and go back out and see if he shows back up and try to catch him. This was one of the 18s

well I just caught two more but not the big one. These two were about 15 to 16 in. Crazy, I fish for 2 hours this afternoon and three total Fish. Two bitty dink trout and one red. Make about 15 cast tonight off the dock and catch four keepers.

Healthy looking trout. Ya sometimes we just need to fish at our feet.
