Anybody tried today. Staying out on North Padre Island near Bob Hall, surf looks very green with 2 to 3 footers. Contemplating a try in the morning for a few hours. But had good success on the Bay side today. May go back there in the morning. Any reports would be appreciated from the surf. Thanks

Fished around the 10mm from 7am-1pm. Long rods and trout rods in the gut. Bait in the water, but mostly horse mullet in large numbers. A few bust ups, but mostly nothing bothered them. Saw a few jacks. Had one good run in the third gut on cut bait with cleaner water out there. Very limited bird activity while there. Lots of people out there on the drive back. Many in the right of way, so drive extra careful. Plenty of wahoos doing 40mph+ past camps too. Water was clearing as tide dropped, but weed was a problem - fishable, but had to work the lines regularly.
