Took my grandson's other grandpa out fishing today. Going was tough. First of all every place I stopped early in the morning they were either two or three boats or bunch of wade fishermen in those areas. Couldn't fish like I wanted to. Fished also 2 hours longer than I normally do. Caught a number of dink trout no keepers and only one keeper redfish at 25 inches. The cool thing about it was after I hooked it it started stripping line real strong and then went to the back of the boat turned around went towards the front of boat and then went down in the grass. couldn't budge it and I thought that it just snag me in the grass and got loose. When I drifted over the top of it I had Paul put the power pole down. Could not see the fish at all and I thought I was stuck in the grass. I did a little trick I used to do with flounder and plucked my line to see if that would rile it up. Sure enough did it came up out of the grass and started running stripping some more line. Finally got it in. Feisty 25 inches.

well dang! if you had that rough of a day, I'll just leave the boat in the barn and continue to do chores after work this evening...

I guess the full moon on saturday already has them feeding at night...

Hey, beautiful color on that fish. When you say you "plucked" the line, how was that? Like you were plucking a stand-up bass string?
