First of all, I have really enjoyed this site since beginning my journey fishing the salt a little over a year ago having recently moved to Corpus a couple years ago. I started out with a kayak, upgraded my kayak, and am now in a small flats boat. Needless to say, I have fallen in love with the Laguna. Now I intend to stop lurking on here and start contributing to this community.
Sunday fished the ULM with BIL. Caught about 50 trout but only 3 keepers in the 15.5-16.5 inch range. The key was a slow retrieve bouncing paddle tails off the bottom as others have said. Deeper water was the ticket but also caught a few in potholes. No redfish were seen. Mid-day was the most productive. It was mostly cloudy with some sun and windy from the SSE about 15-20 or more. |

Thanks and welcome. Seems like Sunday was completely different than saturday! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |
