is that really an article? because it reads more like an ad
Certainly can't imagine a newspaper allowing that for their endorsed editorial opinion. |

| It is questionable, and just another piece of the puzzle. There is a lot going on. The fact is that like the desalination plant we do not have all the answers and to jump on board too quickly could be detrimental to our bay system. |

Excellent article about real grassroots participation. I salute those involved and heartily recommend the newspaper give this effort their full endorsement. _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

Sure enough is, it charged me one of my 5 free views before I have to pay...
You obviously aren't from here or you wouldn't have even had to ask that question. It's just what you come to expect living in CC. From Packery caving in because they didn't plan for hurricanes, to new roads that have to be torn up and patched back together months after being built, to Schlitterbahn being a major tourist attraction that we need but in reality a half finished eyesore, to brand new city parks where they cant keep the park features in working order for public use, that's just par for the course here. That's why when we hear some huge desal project will not have any major environmental impact, the research has been done, experts say this or that, it's a fool proof plan yadda yadda, we are skeptical to say the least. No doubt something should be done, but it probably wouldn't get my vote just because I know the city that is running the operation and taxpayers will get the shaft once again. We always do.
Just my .02, I'm done.... _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |

That's a solid start to a 'List' for CC.
I'd like to add 'a waterpark on the bayfront that is constantly broke'; 'wind turbines that never generated a single 9V battery worth of electricity'; 'a crumbling Courthouse that welcomes visitors into town'; 'a wastewater system that is held together by bailing wire, duct tape, and some bubble gum'; and finally, 'a population that TOTALLY looks the other way when they litter - whether it be on the highway, on the beach, or in their own neighborhood'!!! |

I somehow got misquoted out of context in this train.
I have a bit of a stake in Corpus - most of my clients are there, and spent as much time at a significant other's house (often reading the Caller times online) as my own house in the hill country.
I was disappointed when Crawdaddy's closed at Staples. |

No worries, Mate! [But I still make the best homemade Cajun food west of HWY 73, this side of Vidor, TX].
Now, bring on the King Cake's, (and not that pathetic wanna-be substitute that HEB is currently selling)... |

Why is this? I have an old article from the Austin American Statesman referencing the many historical failures in Corpus Christi, but with no reference to the causes. As one who enjoys a lot of time and investment in CC it's puzzling to observe the continuance of what I suspect is an established culture. |

I've spent enough time in Corpus to know the real problem is the drivers.
SA's only a little better, but no one freaks out on hills and curves. |

My opinion, though i only went to the 20 this weekend, was that the beach was cleaner than usual. My guess, is that the pigs, most likely think the national seashore is closed and just arent driving out. Also the notice that the seashore is still open, was written. Lets keep it quiet. _________________ Don - permanent prescription of salt water therapy. |
