'May' The Sharks Be With You! - Ultra Epic Megatron PINS Report
The past 6 weeks have provided phenomenal action in the surf during calm conditions. With the lack of rain and sargassum seaweed, we are having some of the best spring sharking in Texas in many years. Whether on charters or out on private missions, we been absolutely crushing it on big sharks! Up until a couple weeks ago we were hammering a lot of bull reds on cast out baits which have transitioned to jacks and rays (all on Catchsharks.com Jack Slammer leaders on Breakaway HDX rods).
In addition to landing what was likely the first landbased Texas tarpon of 2018 (April), I also landed and released the first Texas lemon shark of 2018 (9 foot). We have been doing extremly well on the various Catchsharks.com Shark Leaders! The Tru-Sand Hooks have been dynamite! All of our sharks on charter and personal trips were tagged and released with genetic sampling done for the university.
Action has been red hot so get in on the charters while you can. Right now, we are targeting blacktips, bulls, hammers, lemons, and tigers. Jacks are still running the surf and spanish are really starting to show up in good numbers under the birds. Tarpon are showing up around the passes. Overall we are enduring some of the best fishing action of the entire year. I am full until the end of the month, but taking bookings for June and July so contact ASAP to reserve your epic adventure! Tiger-Time is right around the corner for overnight trips! And with kids getting out of school for the summer, treat them to an adventure they will never forget!
Remember, for charter info - if you want the best Padre Surf Fishing, contact myself at Ocean Epics for Shark and Big Game, or Jeff Wolda at Padre Island ADVENTURES for light tackle action! Feel free to email/text in regards to trips.
Have fun and watch out for the tropics!!
Here are a load of recent pics in no particular order...

Coach Hwip! LOL I have seen one of those and an indigo snake right at the tide line one day. That indigo could move fast. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
