Wondering if anybody is under the same impression as myself that on Thursday the fishing may be great. Thoughts?

Why? Water movement (current) is what turns fish on. Just like rain, strong currents and big waves bother fisherman WAAAAAAY more than fish! Wink

If you fish BHP, give the upwind/upcurrent side a good shot. Most folks fish the opposite because it's easier, but the fishing is often much better on the "hard" side.

My son and I fished on Thursday. It was good but not great. We called it quits around 2:30 before the winds got too high, but the bite definitely improved as the day wore on.

I was hesitant because I should have been putting up storm shutters and hauling the boat out Laughing . Ended up fishing in the morning for a few hours, was a bit slow but caught a 25" trout and an upper slot red before getting the chores done. luckily my place had minimal damage on the island, near packery.
