Y'all have a bunch of fishing buddies over here in Alabama and Georgia worried about y'all? Any news yet on how things are going? I hate to get information from the media these days. I've heard it's flooded 12 feet and I've also seen it didn't do much at all. I know it varies depending on the eye but just checking in with you guys. How do y'all think the land cut cabins did?

I think most are staying off the boards. I know a lot of people that left town, and some that didn't.

Either way, it's a sad day for the mid coast area from PA to POC. Many have lost everything... I've seen footage of the boat storage units nearly demolished, supposedly all the boats in the harbor sunk... not sure if that's confirmed. Most of my friends left town to central texas and are safe.

Many people devastated and some people trying to keep it light hearted as a way to both cope and keep spirits up.

Prayers and thoughts to everyone on the middle coast.. If someone needs a hand, and if Corpus or Rockport will let me come help, I've got a chain saw, tow strap, tools, and gloves and ready to travel.

anyone needing a hand holla at me..

Y'all are in my prayers. If I wasn't tied down in medical school 14 hours away I'd do anything I can to help. Teams from all over are headed that way and I know the whole country is watching and praying.

That's right T, PA on up has some serious damage. Corpus is widespread power outage, a lot of trees and limbs down, some signs and gas gas station awnings blown over, and some buildings damaged. Just drove in a while ago and cleared out my fridge and freezer, no telling when electricity will be back on. Most people just have a lot of cleaning up ahead, for sure me.

Our place lost some roof facia and most of the trees.
My brother desperately needs a 12 microfarad capacitor or one slightly larger before the food in his fridge spoils.
Any ideas?
Please call if you even know where there's an old fridge we can cannibalize.

Thanks,
Lance

Northwest side of Corpus - all ok - apparently some roof damage, cant see it, but seeing large wet spot on kitchen ceiling. No injuries - havent heard of any injuries except for one piece of poo poo looter that a homeowner put down with a head shot, hopefully he dies. We have had 4 inches of rain as of today Sunday the 27th around noon. The storm is moving back down this way, but that changes hourly. We are not in a low area. Some in our area have power - some do not, we do , my daughter and granddaughter (fishing buddy) do not so one blessing of this for me is they are staying with us so I get to make pancakes for them every morning and today I got to do it indoors. Before, the coleman out on the covered patio did the job. So that was cool, well not actually , it was hot and humid. For those who say, they were born a hundred years too late, I say bs - I like a/c and hot coffee from my Keurig. I can handle it with out and have more than once.

Thanks for the update. The looter got what he deserved sounds like.

Sounds like you're getting some time with family and making the most of it. Continued prayers, folks.

My dad lives in Rockport.
Fortunately, the house sustained very little damage.
The satellite dish got blown off and took a bit of the roof with it. Otherwise okay.

On the other hand, the roof on the boat shed is completely gone and all the stuff inside was blown around.
