I was fishing on the north side of the JFK about half between the Bluff and the Island and I caught this guy on a tequila gold sand eel. For about 10 minutes before I caught it there was a dolphin circling and darting all around the boat maybe it was chasing more of these guys.[img][/img]
Managed a couple trout and a flounder

looks like a pompano to me, I would think that s a strange catch in the bay. I am a West Texan and no expert though. I get down there every chance I get though.

Not too strange at all. I have seen several caught way down in Baffin. Several years ago I was running a CCA Kids Day tournament and a young boy brought in a nice one that weighed around 2 1/2 lbs.

Had westerlies blowing at 40 here today, my f250 wouldn't go into overdrive in the headwind coming in from San Angelo.

Saw a guy with a pomp on the pier at Charlie's Pasture near the ferry landing in Port Aransas Saturday.

Tyler, no a regular catch or anything... but we randomly catch quite a few in the channel on our "bay" trips while gafftop/whiting fishing on the edges..
