Just heard on the news this morning that last nite at mile marker 240, a 21 Year old suspect drunk driver hit some campers car and then ran over the tent killing the couple that Was in it. Such a sad event, prayers sent, may they rest in peace........cC

If he was drunk, his life is ruined(I hope). No excuse for his actions if this was the case. Very sad.

Just watched the news clip on this and it sounds like the 21 yr old driver will be in serious trouble.

This is my biggest fear when camping at PINS. I make camp as close to the dune line as possible and away form the driving lanes but I have seen some people fly down the beach in the middle of the nigh at high rates of speed.

Always block both directions to your campsite, either with dunes or cars. Always.

Literally my worst nightmare played over and over in my head when camping down PINS. Truly awful sh1t.
