Fished between storms, saw several trout caught on croaker. Of course all I had was shrimp Smile. Did manage one smack. Water was gorgeous. I have never seen it so clear and smooth. On Saturday we saw several small tarpon turning on the channel side. Water was so clear you could see them underwater. Wish I'd had some pics.

Nice, looks like a grungy day in Destin!!! Laughing I've seen it much clearer than that down there, but those times are pretty rare on the Texas coast.

Back in September of 1991 we stopped through CC on the way back from San Diego. Made a visit to PA to show my wife the ferry, the island and the jetties. The water was so clear that I could clearly see sheepies on the channel side, 8-10' deep! It was KILLING me that I had no rod and reel!!! Embarassed

Glad that you got to enjoy it!

I was there this time last year. Water was gorgeous!!! it didn't resemble a Texas coast Smile didn't catch any keepers either. I did manage to catch lots of what looked like juvenile amber jacks. they fought hard but of course they all went back into the pretty water. somebody passing said they were called yellow tails. after looking them up, I believe they were amber jacks. Thanks for the report.
