Was down last weekend trying my luck out of the kayak. On Friday brother in law and I left SA at 6 am. Stopped and Roy's for a new fishing license that I forgot I was needing. Finally got to water around 9 am and after setting up we set out. On Friday I limited on Reds, a 21" and two right under 28". Nice and fat ones. Found them up close to the bank in a foot of water. Sightcasted to them throwing a white/pumkinseed/chartruese paddle tail minnow. Brother in law was skunked but redemed himself the next day. Got up early on Saturday and set out again. Reds weren't there so I set out to deeper water for trout. Nothing but dink trout. Brother in law caught a nice fat 28.5 Red. Nice weather and ready to get back.

Congrats and those are some great looking reds. Been dying to get out on my yak and use some Artie's. TFTR and hope the brother in law brings his A game next time! Wink

Nice going! Those bigger Reds are fun out of a yak when they take you on a boat ride.
