Thanks I am updating the site and also need info for radio tomorrow 6:05 am 1360 KKTX with Lago.

I will do a beach video this afternoon though it looks like the brown cool water is still there. Bob Hall Pier is reporting 79 degree water.

I just talked to guy at Keepers at Horace Caldwell. According to him there's clear water halfway down the pier. Judging by the rest of the info on here though, that sounds like he's just trying to keep his admission ticket sales up.

So what's the real story then? I'm thinking about coming down tomorrow night so any input is much appreciated

I am pretty sure Jeff at Keepers was telling the truth. NaplesJohn took a shot of the water from his house in Port A yesterday and it looked a lot better. Still a little brown but not like last weekend.

Thanks Zia!

Here's Bob Hall from yesterday around 2:00. You could see green water just at the end of the pier. But, you can see not many folks on the pier. The water on my toes was definitly warmer but still probably colder than normal.

I have been having great luck at night around my fishing light. Last week with the new quarter moon there were many fish and they were aggressive. This morning I got up around 4 and there were a few fish but not quite as hungry as last week. I paddled out on the flats at sunrise and it was still, muggy and I think I was the only thing awake. Very little fish movement.

Nothing to report but a really weird due east wind at lunch!?!?! What's up with that?

I'm driving down past the bowl later this pm, will report back if anything different than what I expect.

A couple of softball buddies fished north port A jetty and said water 1/2 way down was clear and they were catching trout (and pup sharks) on live shrimp.

I just swung by Bib Hall about five minutes ago. Green water has moved in quite a bit. You could reach it with a long rod and birds are working as well.

Bob Hall to the N. Sticks.

2 words......

Baby ... Oil !

The tar is something else. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad All small, nothing Ixtoc worthy, but bring the baby oil. You will pick up MUCHO if you walk the water/high tide line.

But ROBDOG nailed it! The water looks WAY better than it has in weeks, with the green water pushing into the first bar at the sticks, and the 2nd bar at Bob Hall. Saw numerous whiting (all smallish) caught, and a big ladyfish! Birds were working close in, with the terns lighting up the 2nd bar. Water was noticeably warmer.

But the tar was the only downside.......

Went out yesterday offshore....kings were steady and liked ballyhoo. We stayed close but water was beautiful. Supposed to stay that way for a couple of days.

I went out to North Pac last night just as the sun was setting to check it out. The water was great and it was a very low tide. The bluefish were being pulled in three or four at a time. I saw one nice red landed and we caught 2 flounder on the surf side. The usual whiting were there and we witnessed several small sharks caught. I spoke with a guy who said he had been there all day and had seen numerous 4-5' sharks cruising the jetties throughout the day. I knew this would be the weekend things would get nice since I already committed to a work weekend at the deer lease. Crying or Very sad

Floundering in the Port A area around Allyn's bight has been SPECTACULAR !!! We also had limits of trout in that area with croaker & piggies!!
