Thanks to David Sikes and his article a couple of weeks ago in the CT the signs at the Clem's and Billing's boat ramps were fixed giving the sponsors that made the projects happen credit.

The old signs.....

We'll the sign still isn't correct. It was brought to my attention that the word
"FISH" was left out of the phrase.... A Federal Aid in Sport Fish Restoration Act Project.

This project was doomed to be a disaster from the start. If any of you every have a similar project and need a sponsor to head up the project don't go to the City of Corpus Christi. Go to Nueces County and have them work with you a lot more user friendly.

Who proof reads this stuff before it is sent to the printer? Signs are not cheap so you would think they would get it right the first time. This is their second time and its still not right. Mis-spelling an entities name is like mis-spelling a persons name. It's kind of disrespectful.

They still left of the General Land Office.

I guess no one proof reads that stuff before it go to the sign manufacture.
But then again, if the project didn't require a sign as part of the contract with TP&W pretty sure the city wouldn't have given anyone credit for the time or dollars that went into the restoration.

You are correct about the GLO being listed. They put up the value of the land as the matching funds as the TP&W required.

We should make our own signs while dinning on fried fish and drinking beer and doing tequila shots . Bet we could come up with some good ones. Very Happy

I think that's what was going while the wording was being put together
for the signs.
