9" Kershaw is an all round great fillet knife, you really can't beat it. Here's a link

Thanks. Any problems with rust spots on yours? Only negative on a couple reviews

The 9 in Kershaw is a good knife. I leave mine out in the elements year round very little spotting. Remember stainless means...stains less. I have been using the Kershaw for many years you can find them online with free shipping for around 20 bucks more or less.

This might help but like IMS says Kershaw is a good knife.

BTW there are some Kershaw knock-offs from China out there.

Roy's carries the Victor Knox (Forshner)7" . Great substitute if you have to put your hands on one now. $20 no complaints.

I have 2 of these and they are great. Really hold an edge and the blade length is adjustable for bigger fish. A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

Alot of of folks that make knives ( really good knives ) use the ats 34 and the 154 cm they hold a really good edge and polish up very nicely. I like to heat treat them to a RC 58. I heat treat most of those steels on a daily basis.

We use these in our meat market. I ordered the Kershaw but I think for the 9.98 I will try one of these in the 8" fillet knife.

Great info guys thanks for sharing. That SOG looks legit. We own quite a bit of Cutco so I might have to give one a look down the road. I always used dexter and russel and replaced them every year or two. Once they got beat up I couldn't get them to hold an edge like they did when they were new. Took the old knives on the beach and boat which would get lost eventually.
