anyone do any good gigging around Portland. Ive been going out a couple times a week lately under the causeway bridge.. Portland end, west side. Ive only gotten one and saw one other too small. _________________ A woman once told her husband to tie her up and he could do anything he wanted, so he tied her up and went fishing! |

Try sunset beach. I've never been out there in the winter, but have had good luck in the spring. May have to walk out a bit, and tote a lantern, but it used to be a pretty popular gigging spot. Aim to park in one of the left side areas before the new paved parking lot, about 200 yards from the entrance. Pretty good trout spot too, if you walk out around waist deep or so. _________________ Carpe Diem: Sieze the Carp |

thanks man, I fish there quite a bit in the summer, wondered about giging there....that sandbar before it gets deep looks promising, just haven't tried it. _________________ A woman once told her husband to tie her up and he could do anything he wanted, so he tied her up and went fishing! |
