A link to my recent 10 day San Diego Long Range trip on the Excel...10 days of eating and fishing...does not get better than that!!!

Wow what a trip.... Thanks for taking the time to type all of that. I've been considering saving up for a long range trip, but I have nowhere near the rod and reels for a 10+ day trip.

Actually my first foray back into longrange fishing after a 28 year break had me using boat gear. Excel uses Seeker rods and Makira reels. All you pay for is new mono topshots.

Of course year four, and I am a well "invested" tackle Ho...

Interesting, thanks. Always kinda weary about using rods/reels that aren't mine but those guys are using some quality stuff. I might be sending you a PM about details sometime in the future since you obviously have some experience in this! Thanks

That's what I call a report! Thanks for the write up and all the pics. Felt like I was there. Definitely a trip of a lifetime. Hopefully I'll get to brave 10 days. I fear getting sea sick and then stuck on a boat for 10 days.
