Tomorrow im heading to Biloxi MS to fish the Chandeluer Islands with Due South Charters for 4 days. After reading plugger it has been a goal of mine to do while the islands are still there. Has anyone gone before and what should I expect.

Ill be sure to post pictures from the trip. When i get back next Thursday.

Did anybody tell ya there was a bunch of sharks down there? When i say a bunch meana BUNCH!!!!!! It was a great trip! I hope to go back sometime. Good luck and post your story.

I hope your trip is coordinated with a new moon period. I went there with a fly fishing group a few years ago on a full moon and the fishing was terrible. I finally had to break out the conventional tackle to catch anything! The trip was fun and the food, and camaraderie were great! It's a neat place, but slowly disappearing. Crying or Very sad

I went over there with a group of 10 guys the week after hurricane Brett out of Biloxi. We had a great time fishing, eating good food, drinking beer, and BSing at night about the days fishing adventures. It is like fishing the King Ranch shoreline behind the barrier Islands in small alum boats(2 guys to a boat)and good fishing for beach fish if you can find a cut to get thru to it. There are sharks everywhere in those cuts and at the beach. The first day drifting over the gin clear flats and an 8' bull shark went under the boat in 5' of water changed my plans for any wading there. We fished only with top waters or plastic and caught lots of fish, but seemed to me the trout were generally smaller over there than here. Lots of reds, bulls to slot sized ones. I'm pretty sure the islands have changed alot due to the hurricanes that passed thru the area.

...I was on the Due South in early July...the fishing was a little off but we had a great trip and would do it again in a heartbeat...anxious to hear the report since we were told September and October were the best months to visit...below is a little surprise one of my buddies had with a bull shark on the Gulf beach side of the islands....
