fixing to make a trip down to the coast this coming weekend to try and fill the freezer for sharkathon, can anyone point me in the right direction to try and catch jacks, stingrays, black drum, or anything of the sort......PA jetty, or ride PINS shooting topwaters length of beach???? any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Port A jetty isn't a bad place to start. I heard bonito and jacks were being caught under the birds on the south jetty last week.

Plus, if you are already down in that direction, if you get a flat day and have a nice high sun for visibility, there are always a boat load of stingrays ripe for the gigging on the backside of mustang island, either at Fishpass, Corpus Christi Pass, and Shamrock. You just gotta cover enough ground to find them.

Ray, my brother and I will be out there fishing, stop by. As far as sting rays, last year they where thick bay side of packery, go out gigging them at night.

Try the party boats in port A offer some cash to the deckhands

you can buy 50# cases of Bonita or stingrays from seafood wholesalers in Houston

Cruise the beach look for exploding bait fish and cast heavy spoons or red & white lures
