I heard they went back to that rock to retrieve their motor but when they started looking there were so many motors laying on the bottom by that rock they couldn't tell which one was theirs. Very Happy

Sounds like we have some cranky people today.

With the hit that motor took I am glad nobody was killed,,, I'm sure they went from 35 mph to zero pretty quick.

Capt Mike is right on, I have run Baffin a many of times at 4:00 in the morning no gps or running lights. I tell my buds to hang on at all times at they know where the p d f's are. The problem with what i do is there are jerks that dump tiolets, lumber and old generators around Baffin and south to the cut. It happens at night and started when the park jerks took away the dumpsters at Bird. I know where to run and how deep to get to center reef or E.Kleberg (edit by admin), but stay n deep water going a little further but safer.

Cliff web screwed up a good bite several years ago at point of rocks and after yelling at him he turned around and told me and Larry Tonick from San Antonio to bad, just go find another place over by the tide guage bar, What a jerk the guy has always been, Capt Mike S. is if not the best is one of the best showing respect to folks on his Intemanader or other folks on the water.

He shows respect by calling people he doesn't know want-to-be's after they've had a boating accident? He shows respect by saying anybody who hires a guide should grow up and learn how to fish? Yeah he's very respectful. Rolling Eyes

He's just a honest man. Something everyone should appreciate. If you can't handle to hear someone's opinion, then don't present yours.

I've never met him or really seen him post so the only exposure I have is seeing him bash some poor guy who wrecked his boat. Just bad form is all. I suppose those of you that know him have different experience but this is all I've seen. If yall think it's ok to poke fun for wrecked boats at Baffin then I guess I can see why you're defending him. I have no issues putting up pics and ridiculing potlickers, generall asshattery, misbehavior, etc... but these guys didn't seem to have been engaged in any bafoonery and just heading out to fish. Whatevs, I'm just bored at work and all my sites are slow. Laughing

I've watched boaters rooster tail through a couple of shallow cuts at steadmans on numerous occasions. I might say something like, "Man, that sum_ _ _ _ _ is haulin _ _ _." Sometimes I want to do it too.

Sometimes you run
Sometimes you stall
Sometimes you don't get up at all
Sometimes you run sometimes you fall

I get it! But yeah, I have a pretty psychotic sense of humor so I think it's funny! Hate it for the guy, but there is humor in it! Mike is a great guy and he would give you the shirt off his back and the fish outta his box! And no disrespect to you because i have nothing but respect for what you do on the beach and the sportsman you are, but those dudes could have been running wild for all I know and it could have been avoided! So you never know what exactly happened! But who knows..... I'm ready for Sharkathon! I gotta make up for last year! Haha...

True, I suppose I could have been a bit presumptuous myself. When he said Mercury Reef I did find some humor in that, that was pretty funny. But that's not calling the dude names that's making fun of the situation.

I'm skipping Sharkathon again. Crying or Very sad
