We started out down South of the Yellow cabin...BROWN WATER. We picked up 3 trout, 2 on topwaters and 1 23 incher on a gulp caught by my guest. The water clarity sucked infact it sucks all the way back to The JFK , IT SUCKS ON THE EAST SIDE THE WEST SIDE AND ALL POINTS INBETWEEN. I checked out the whole area. Now the water in Night Hawk seems a little less brown but not much. Go North of the JFK to find clearer waters. The mullet are in full bloom they are thick everywhere. My good neighbor Bamared and my new neighbor across the street waded Laguna Shores rd this morning they brought home 3 trout also . They were using live shrimp and artificials. So between 5 of us we caught 6 trout. That's all I got . Cheers IMS.

Things look bleak on water quality.

Thanks Stan that's what it was like last weekend too! I was hoping the higher water would flush it out.

Slow for me as well. Two of us managed to catch a red and two trout on topwaters north of JFK. I counted 11 boats in Deadmans this morning. I guess they were all trying to escape the brown tide. It doesn't look good....

Nice clear water north of JFK but no fish for me to cooperate. They where there just couldn't get them to hit. Top waters and soft plastics.

water is brown as far south as the cut. Talked to a friend that was there last Saturday while Tyler, myself and others were at twin palms. More rain possible Monday night and Tuesday, so maybe that will help. Let's hope so!

Fished last weekend New Braunfels Builders Assoc tourney. Started at day break at Sunday house, tow drifts, nada. Fished all the old hot spots back north, picked up a few keepers [ trout], Water was brown, lots of mullet swirls. Few more around Shamrock, Dead at the super flats, and quarintine shoreline. Winners fished with guides and caught there fish around Rockport where the water is green.

Fished all yesterday with friends from Comfort started near bird, water sucks. Few trout in the backyard. Had to run offshore a half mile to find clear green water. A little rough but kept the engine running and drifted. Two nice oversize reds on the bottom in 17 feet of water.

This is the slowest May i have ever fished. Oh well maybe when we get our spring bull tides the laguna will flush out.

Still have 22 " bay boat for sale. Ran perfect yesterday. $15,000.00.

Wonder why the Texas Parks and Wildlife hasn't posted a Brown Tide Notice?
