Bet you a dollar to a donut, this "fellow" also had at least 1 Obama-phone, and a EBT card in his wallet. Sad commentary on the state of affairs today. And it makes me shudder every time I leave my vehicle (and for that matter, my house about 1/2 the time) unlocked...... | Weird you brought up about leaving your house unlocked. Be very careful. Recent report from a law enforcement friend of mine in CC was that there has been several home break-ins from thugs posing as sales reps, etc. I wouldn't doubt it if they are tied in with these thieves who are out stealing from us fishermen. Something seriously needs to happen to stop this. Probably going to contact the national media to get some exposure to put some spotlight heat on the City to actually do something serious about this.

I love how discussion related to theft of fishing gear devolves into a political discussion. Yeah, it's Obama's fault. And Fox news is the answer. Brilliant.
I'm all for a sting operation though. _________________ "There's no such thing as a bad day fishing." |

a couple cams on bob hall might be a good idea pitched to the right person. for law enforcement side it could help catch thieves. from a tpw it could help catch guys with illegal fish. i cant tell you how many times ive seen guys running off the pier with a huge red and just throw it in the back of a vehicle. when i used to run my inflatable someone punched in the lock on my truck and stole my trailer paperwork. that was all that was valuable but that really pissed me off. _________________ If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am. |

Deteriorate would work too
Devolve: To degenerate or deteriorate gradually: After several hours the discussion had devolved into a shouting match. _________________ "There's no such thing as a bad day fishing." |

Let's go third world country with it. 12 gauge bean bag rounds, loaded truck with goodies, and a pair of big bolt cutters, oh and ski mask. Thief comes, bean bag hits, thief goes down, bolt cutters go on finger, finger comes off, whisper to him not to do that again, go about your day.

Now I like that idea....an eye for an eye.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and it's the same everywhere. We just have to watch our and each other's stuff more carefully. If they want it bad enough...they will find a way to get it. I hope the law applies to protecting your vehicle, and the stuff in it, as it does to your home. Cuz I carry a piece now and plan to protect everything I have, at home or in my truck, from someone who wants to take if from me.
You never know what these idiots will be carrying if you confront them...and I don't plan to find out...I don't fire warning shots. I just hope it doesn't come to that. _________________ (( Living the life I was born to live.....

Funny, I don't remember anyone mentioning Hussein Odumbo until you popped up. Someone mentioned a phone which is nationally recognized as being branded with his name, but not about him or his sorry azz at all. I also believe the reference was to a type of person - not Hussein himself. Referencing that type of person is certainly not political - just descriptive of a large majority of the thieving low life scumbags out there today. And, I certainly didn't read anyone mentioning Fox News until you chimed in with your political statements.
Seems to me that the person who is trying desperately to degenerate this thread into politics is none other that you. Perhaps you need to cut out the political crap yourself. _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

I could go for that. You don't even need a pair of bolt cutters. Good strong set of short handled pruning sheers or large set of wire cutters would work fine. Easier to hide also. _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

Actually under the current law, you can kill to protect property. All part of the extended provisions of the Castle doctrine. _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

| Imagine all of the incidents that aren't reported because the value of the items stolen wasn't enough to over come a $1000 insurance deductible. I know of least 1 of these cases. |
