Went for a short walk in front of the seawall .the oil Ranged from the size of a pin head to a dollar bill. It was impossible to walk without stepping on oil. The seagulls legs and belly are getting covered. This is going to suck.

Hopefully this is just our typical tar event, that happens every year. Sometimes their size ranges from quarters to the size of a car tire. I wouldn't look to much into it as of yet. I would be surprised if this has anything to do with the Galveston incident.....but keeping my fingers crossed just the same.

Is that the seawall in Galveston or down the corpus way? Not a good thing either way.

last week when the spill happened i told yall it was headed your way. the news here said they they put booms out to protect matagorda bay. they said oil had washed up on matagorda on thurs. so i assumed that yall knew it was headed your way. they are trying their best to clean it up. just reports any wildlife with oil so they can be cleaned up. the barge company is accepting claims for any damage

Has anyone who might really be in the know mentioned if this stuff is actually from the Houston Ship Channel or is it just Gulf rig mess? Speculation does not necessarily mean that this is from the spill.

all i know for sure is that they have reported that the oil at matagorda is from the spill at texas city. the news media here in houston were in matagorda on thursday morning when it came in. i would assume that the currents are bringing it to the rest of the coast line. not sure about claims for cleaning yaks but who knows they might. but that might be stretching it.
