I've found a good spot to catch crabs, but there is alot of marine industrial stuff going on very close to the spot. It's a boatyard where they refurbish barges and work boats. Lots of sand blasting and painting going on. Was wondering if UT MSC, TAMUCC , TPWD or maybe the aquarium would check a few to see if they are ok to eat? Maybe thats why it's got crab, cause they're toxic. Haven't actualy set any traps, but you can't throw out bait without the crabs showing up in seconds, so I'm thinking the bottom is swarming.

There are so many great crabbing spots down there that I would simply find another. JM2C.

Yeah, but this spot has great potential and easy acces, I'd really like to give it a try. I was hoping somebody knew somebody that knew somebody that may be involved in similar testing. I hate calling universitys; always seems I have to talk to ten people to get to the person who has any info. Guess I'll start with the aquarium research center.
