Went 10 minutes past the 4x4 sign and started fishing at 6:50 am. High road past the sign was a little soft but manageable, water was a little churned up but not to bad, and the weed was present but fishable.
We caught a total of 5 hardheads, 2 black drum (one keeper, one 34") 4 pompano, 8 large whiting. We also lost a large mystery fish that straighted a 2/0 circle hook.
All fish were caught on pink squid fish bites and tipped with shrimp, fished on a pompano rig with the yellow floats. _________________ Bad fisherman blame their bait, or the lack there of. |

Nice variety. Was thinking of going myself but didn't want to deal with fog and mist. However, next several days are supposed to be worse.
Sat. at clean up there was about a mile stretch that was thick with weeds, but sparse to none the rest of the way to the 26. |

There was weed the entire stretch of beach that we drove this morning. Forgot to mention that packed out all of our trash plus a garbage bag full of beach trash. [/img] _________________ Bad fisherman blame their bait, or the lack there of. |
