Had a wonderful day on the water with the girlfriend. She got to break in her new rod that I bought her, the set up is her lure rig Shimano Stradic with a medium light Falcon Rod which she absolutely enjoyed. We decided to sleep in a while and didn't get on the water till about 8 am praying the wind wouldn't blow us off the water and the sun would come out. We ran out to my little honey hole that i have been on the fish for about 3 weeks now. The wind was blowing about 15mph and the water temp was around 61 degrees with the water in not ideal quality for fishing pot holes couldn't see a darn thing so we ground it out and blind casted away. Are first drift produced a nice trout and her first red and the new rod that went 22". We decided to do another drift so we pulled up the drift anchor and turned around to find 3 boat on are exact drift 200 yards away. I guess nothing is sacred when people see a rod bent over. Anywho the wind started to kick up to about 25 mph and 30 mph gust and my little 14 foot scooter did not like it so we cut are loses after are second drift and headed home with 4 trout and a red. The fish were there just conditions were not ideal. Of the water by 10 am

Unfortunately my job forces me to be a weekend warrior. So I have to make due with the time I get.
