| Best way to get to the shores of Laguna Madre around the Bird Islands and edges of Pure Oil Channel? Is that all boat and kayak access only or is there a way to access the shores by truck? New down here so just asking based on maps. |

From what I understand (I asked a similar question) those areas are accessible by boat/kayak only. You can however wade fish the shoreline at BIB or drive up to Yarbarough Pass from PINS and fish the area. Parking at BIB is an issue if you don't have a boat trailer.
Some regulars to that area may have better insight than I do.

| Cool cool, I figured that was probably the case. I'm prob not gonna pick up an actual boat until I buy another house but wading and kayaking is probably in reach during 2014. |
