Got up early this morning and decided to see If I could catch some dinner for the wife and I tonight. Launched from Bluffs Landing around 7:30 am and made a long drift down the laguna shores area, managed two keeper trout and lots of dinks along the way. I was using the Texas Roach Southern Shad by Down South Lures which caught the two keepers and also used a Super Spook Jr that caught me a skip jack and a few other smaller trout. Water was nice, not too brown but not really clear either, quite a bit of weed floating around but still very fishable. Was off the water by 10:00 am on the way home with Dinner!!

Nice catch, a buddy and I went out Saturday and killed them. We had 9 nice sized trout in the ice chest and one 28" red. Fried them all up last night and enjoyed the catch. Mostly caught everything on a chartreuse chicken on a chain. Tried using a spoon and a top water but didnt have much luck with them. Maybe I will see you out there some time.
