Went down the beach at lunch with the low tide window, and was amazed at the number of butterflies making their way south just at the edge of the dunes. It was Monarch City - or rather - the Monarch Highway!!!
As I turned north and went up Park Rd 22, NOW THAT THE CHAIN IS OFF THE BOLLARDS SECTION AT PINS..... sorry, some pent up hostility there....
Anyways, as I headed up the road, it was like someone had shot off the starting pistol! Headed south was rig after shark rig, looking to secure that prime spot for Shark-A-Thon. Was impressed with some of the platforms that were on the backs of some of the trucks. Good luck to all you guys, have a safe weekend. Both the Gub'ment and the weather appears to be cooperating.
Almost forgot the report part. - Water was clear the entire way, not much new weed. Few birds working, a few folks fishing but not much catching going on. Beach is packed down all the way to the dunes. Surf was 2 rows at 2 feet. Beachcombing was poor. But the butterfly highway more than made up for that. |
