Hola All Flour Bluffians,
By now you probably got a letter from Electric Transmission Texas (ETT) about potential routes for new power lines from the Barney Davis Power Plant at the end of Laguna Shores. I personally do not like the idea of running these high lines along Laguna Shores.
Please be sure to attend one of the early meetings at the Flour Bluff High School Cafeteria on October 28th and 29th between 6 and 8 pm to get more info and voice your opinion. Also, please pass this along to any and all interested parties.
FYI, if you want to see what this may enentually look like, check out Rodd Field Road.

I assume they can't take them down Waldron or Flour Bluff Drive because of Waldron Field. Any other options? _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

Thats what all those rock pads going down all around are for. They are missing most of Laguna Shores coming out on Ghram rd behind the auto parts and going over toward Knickerbocker. Why don't they do that stuff underground. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Health effects....don't forget about the potential health effects (although the power people will tell you the research is not conclusive). _________________

High voltage lines like that would be 10x as expensive underground. Sorry, just not feasible for any significant distance.
As far as health effects, well, don't climb the pole and you'll be fine.
They are ugly as hell though. _________________ Why is it that these days sales people seem to be as honest as I am knowledgeable? |
