Headed out for a couple hours this afternoon to the North Sticks with a lb of Cos-ways best dead shrimp.

Surf was moderate... relatively speaking, a whole lot better than it has been the past few days. Tide still up about 1/2 way to the dunes from "normal" with a large surf line.

Weed has been broken up from what it was prior to the storm. It's still there but not as much of a burden - very fishable. I had more of a problem catching small pieces with a weedless spoon than getting soaked bait rods wiped out with weed.

Jellyfish - none.

Surf felt a little cooler than it had been - but temp reports don't seem to back that observation up.

Shrimp and fishbites were getting hit pretty quick on every cast. Baby jacks, bull whiting, hardheads, skipjacks and red fish. Ended up catching reds on both shrimp and skipjack.

Thanks for the report and nice pics. Just when it is starting to get fishable we have other storms on the horizon.

Are the North sticks the ones at the first access road once you get to PINS? Not sure what they are called but that is usually where I fish when I am in town.

Those are the ones - via the access road just north of the guard shack.

Had a great couple of days there will real nice trout last summer. but have not got back on them since. In all fairness I have not been back under ideal weather conditions either. That was the spot I was in when I met that young girl that I helped fish that I wrote about a month or two ago. Reminded me of her when i saw the pics. Thanks for sharing.
