Get a boat

I've got a few yaks. They work for now. They need some work though, which is why we went to the pier.

I was there from about 7:30pm- 11pm and it was packed. I set up about halfway down under a light and caught some spades, and a mangrove. Saw a couple in front of me catching some trout and a big skip jack, and a guy next to me caught a nice black drum. Seems like the bite turned off so we left the madness.

Yeah I was the one who brought in the skips and my girlfriend was bringing in the whiting and trout. If you heard us saying "omg I can't believe these people" yesterday, that was us. We kept it all very low key, but inside we were furious. To make it worse they had kids and were teaching them how to act on the pier by being great role models. Normally I take out the yaks and avoid the morons... I think next time I hit a pier I'll try Oso Pier out by A&M.

I didn't hear ya'll say that but it may have been you. The couple I saw had a large green ice chest with a blue light lantern on it. They also let someone's kid reel in one of their lines that ended not having anything on it. I had a rod in a bucket to their right and was also fishing the light on the opposite side.

Yeah that was us. We didn't want to make a big deal of it on the pier due to the fact that I think the lady was just trying to pick a fight. After she tried taking our bait I just kindly moved down and didn't have a problem after that. There was a really nice family nearby and you could tell the little boy was very excited to be fishing. Glen was more than happy to let the kid reel in one of our lines. When the pier is crowded it can be frustrating to people and I can understand that. Lines get crossed and sometimes you get a little too close for comfort, but I still couldn't believe this lady and the example she was trying to set for her kids.

It must have been the family with kids that was to your right. I let them have the spot where I had my long rod. Laughing Oh well, at least ya'll caught some keepers.
