I'm surprized IMS hasn't chimed in yet on this one but he does stay pretty busy. I like his 18' rfl with the 115 2 stroke Yamaha plenty of room to fish 3 lure chunkers.

what are you looking for in a boat? one that can go shallow, or one that will ride smoother? you're not going to get the best of both worlds in any boat out there... it's always a give and take.

I know with a family boat, my wife doesn't like to get pounded like you will in a typical flat bottomed tunnel boat. but V bottom is not going to go anywhere near as shallow.

Completely agree with what lefty said. The difference between a 18 and 20' boat is worth every penny. If I had known now.....

I heard this when I was younger and didn't appreciate it until recently. If your buying a boat or buying a plane, "Do not settle for less than exactly what you want". if it won't get you to where you want to go it will suck.

Best boat you have never heard of Marshall Intimidator, dry, fast and solid.

BTW, great pre-buy approach.

I totally agree, if you just settle, you will always have that "I should have got that one" feeling. I have an older Haynie Bigfoot and love it. It is what I've always wanted, so I got it. There are better and faster boats out there, but I can fish 4 people out of this boat VERY comfortably. My 2 cents... Adios
