| If you pay $80 for red/trout, does that cover both or is it $80 each? And can you enter a redfish and a trout? |

Pretty sure you'd have to pay $80 for each Red and Trout, they're separate divisions. _________________ JJ |

Rules for the 2013 tournament are still being compiled and will be published prior to registration opening. Rules for 2012 are located on the website under the Rules & Tips tab. There are no major changes planned for the rules, we are organizing and restructuring the rules to be as easy as possible to understand. Please browse the 2012 rules and become familiar with them, pay strict attention to the Photo Requirements, you must provide a set of pictures as explained or your catch will disqualified.
One common question is whether or not one person can register more than themselves and pay for them. The answer is yes, as long as the process is followed correctly and all the information is filled out correctly. Each individual entered must be a separate entry in the shopping cart with the information about the angler provided. You cannot simply enter yourself more than once and then expect to tell us on the beach who the other angler is. We require the information we request about each angler prior to the tournament, failure to do so will result in a disqualified entry at check in. Anyone entering a combination of divisions cannot split that entry at a later date.
During the registration process if you are entering the Shark division you will have options during the process to add additional entry into Redfish, Trout, & Tarpon. Shark entrants must add their additional divisions at this location, do not register Shark only and then go to the Redfish/Trout/Tarpon section and enter there also.
Long after Sharkathon sells out we will offer the opportunity to upgrade additional divisions to your entry. Shark entrants can add the additional division entries of Redfish/Trout/Tarpon. Non-shark entrants can add divisions also but cannot be upgraded to Shark at any time. Entrants into Women's and Kids divisions cannot add or enter another division of Sharkathon, women and kids are not restricted from entering and competing in any of the regular divisions but they cannot be entered in combination of both.
Another common question and misconception is the belief that Sharkathon is a team event. Sharkathon is and has always been an individual event. Each angler must be entered separately and as per the rules there are restrictions on the type of help each division can receive from a non-entrant. The acts of landing, leadering, photographing, and releasing have no restrictions, the survival of the catch is paramount and utilize whatever help you can get to be quick and efficient dealing with your catch. Shark division entrants cannot have anyone deploy a bait that is not entered in shark division. Redfish division entrants cannot have anyone deploy a bait that is not entered into redfish division. Trout division entrants cannot have anyone deploy a bait that is not entered into trout division. Tarpon division entrants cannot have anyone deploy a bait that is not entered into Tarpon division. Women's and Kids division entrants cannot have anyone deploy a bait that is not entered in Sharkathon. All anglers must fight the fish from hook set to the landing process with no help from anyone.
If this newsletter is kicked back as undeliverable your account will be deleted, please inform any and all friends and forward this newsletter to them if they have not received it or their account has been deleted. We require that the email address for each account be a working address so that we can keep everyone updated and contact individuals with any problems with their registration. We do not share or sell personal information, but we must be able to contact everyone easily and quickly, we will no longer spend valuable time and resources trying to track someone down.
Newsletters will also be archived on the website under the newsletter tab.
Thank you for your support and participation

| Can't wait, the best surf tourney of the year. My surf gear is ready. This year I'm taking my wife 4X Sahara so I can sleep in it instead of setting up camp. I plan on going far South and work my way back looking for the bite. Where ever the night gets me that's where I'll sleep. Feel free to stop by for chat, a green Rubicon and a silver Sahara with Team Salty Coyote flags. |

| So my wife couldn't deploy a bait for me if I registered her for the women's division? I may misunderstood but it sounds like I can't register her for both women's and shark division |

Lol, yes. Most of the time she insist on doing it, she likes too. She is just as much a shark fisher than I am. She's upset because the rules make it sound like a women can't do it. |

Whew, time flies!
Should be a ton of fun!
Every year it sells out faster than the year before. I think it sold out in a matter of hours last year _________________ Fish hard. You never know when you'll make you last trip south. |
