Water still crappy brown as it has been for the past couple of weeks. Surf is up a lil from the past couple of days today but actually looks a little greener by the south jetty. Unfortunately the further away you get from the jetty the worse the water gets up to access rd 2 the water is nice to packery. My buddies fished the north jetty thur and got 6 trout and 7 Friday to 24 inches. I fished it yesterday and it was SLOW. Water was fair not and flat as it was the previous days but the smacks were feeding at first light then split. Only managed a smack and mangrove. Game warden paid a visit before we split and was checking coolers and license. Said the only other thing caught was about 60 hard heads so I didn't feel so bad. His partners in 2 other boats were stopping any boats that came thru the channel. Wonder why they don't do the same on the south jetty. If I had to bed I'd say 90% of the people fishing don't have a license or have illegal fish. My guess is they don't want to work that. hard. Hopefully the water clears soon.it was going off before the brown stuff came in. All the conditions are there except the water.

We were checked by State of Texas Game Wardens on Saturday as we were returning from the Gulf of Mexico in the ship channel near Port Aransas. They checked everyone's fishing license on board and all our fish. The one that boarded the boat asked me a few questions after checking our fish and then motioned to the boat he was on that everything looked good and was soon off the boat and on their way to the next one. There were two boats with two or three wardens on each boat. We had seen them checking boats on Friday on the way in but they were busy when we went past. They seemed very professional and treated everyone on board with dignity. Smile
