Wind 15-18 mph, Temp 81degs, humidity90%, baro. 29.86, Rain 0, brown tide prevails.

I'm not fishing today . Thought I'd do some boat maintenance today in the electrical dept. First I'm going to replace my trolling motor battery with a new one. The old one isn't bad but it is 3 years old. I will replace it with another Interstate deep cycle. I have had some good luck with the Interstate brand. I will also replace any terminals that look bad with some premium copper ones along with heat shrink to make the job more professional. Heat shrink does a great covering job and adds some strain relief on connectors. Have a great day.

Crimp, solder, then liquid electrical tape. Tiny dab of grease on any spade or bullet connections.

They ( the dealer ) had alot of wiring running along the deck under the console. There's really nothing wrong with that. It's good way to conceal the wiring for looks. I'd rather have my wiring up off the deck however it's not as attractive but it makes cleaning behind the batteries easier and they are not really rubbing on anything and access is much easier. Main thing it looks very nice to me. Next the light switch and breaker. I need to figure out what size breaker for 3 12volt lights port, starboard, and the aft white light. I need a neat switch have a pull out type now 2 position. It was pretty hot up under the console today. Whew!!

That Saltwater Line & Lure Formula will work wonders on any exposed wiring!!! After you get done, every so often, spray it with that stuff and your terminal strips, connectors, ect. will always look like new!!!
