I have been using the method on the Calusa cast net site for a few years now, and it works well. But...... I still get wet and don't like putting the line in my mouth because when the net is stored the whole lead line gets lead oxide all over it: toxic stuff!!! Shocked

I found this guy, and he by golly doesn't get wet, doesn't use his mouth and throws the heck out of this 10 footer! I really like the "reload" speed too! D

I usually just let my wife catch bait, solves a lot of problems.

I've thrown just like that for about 40 years (don't throw any more) and it is quite easy (and effective).
