Actually showed up a bit ago, free shipping to the West Marine store. This is my first day off in 10 days to mess with it.

Wife used for scale. Wink

Haven't put the floor in it yet, instructions say to inflate it first and leave it for a bit. I'm curious about how much exactly, it come with a gauge but at half pressure it's damn solid.

I have already decided to add the transom wheel kit, with engine the damn thing is going to go about 320lbs.

Now I need one of those Harbor Freight trailers. The bad news is, I cannot get time for a beach trip till the first part of June. Crying or Very sad

I have a brand new 15hp Mercury for it.

love it, i bought mine used so i only have the pleasure of a brand new used one.. if you dont mind im gonna give you a couple of tips.
first thing is keep it out of the sun when your not using it. the UV actually breaks down the fabric. i keep mine in the garage with a cover over it. they make covers designed for inflatables. looking at the pictures it looks flat, when its fully inflated there wont be any wrinkles in the tubes. they make hand pumps and electric pumps with gauges, i think mine has a max inflation of 3.2psi. Spend the money one a good one, because your gonna bring it when you use the boat.
next dont buy a utility trailer.(its what i use) it is more hassle than it worth, HF actually sells a boat trailer, for around the same price.

Lastly and this is the most important one of them all. do not use armorall or any other kind of silicon base cleaners or protectent. mild dish soap is plenty for cleaning it. reason being is you will never get the silicon out of the fabric and if you ever have to do a patch it will not stick, no matter how much you think you cleaned it.
obviously there is many other things that will help you but these are some things to get you started

Now, you have to work on getting your wife out of the boat so you can put the floor in. Good luck with that!

BTW, another jealous person about the boat.

Make sure you inflate to recommended PSI regardless if it feels firm at half. I am just gonna say, trust me.

Find a quick patch and get a good hand pump. It is no fun returning to land with a hole, and in the saltwater along with fishing (hooks, knives, fish, etc.), it is good to be prepared. Again, I am just gonna say, trust me.

Finally, be sure to keep it at recommended pressure at all times; even in storage. It is easy to do at first, but as newness wears off, it is easy to forget or neglect. Reason being that straps of fabric at joints weaken when not properly inflated because of undue weight; meaning it pulls or breaks away. Changes in temperature will cause great psi changes in the pontoons.

Not trying to be doom and gloom - just advising a little tlc for the thing and it will last your years with no problems and lots of fun.

Looking at one myself, but like some have said, will hike when the funding is right. Curious, is it not a good idea to store it deflated?

Gib is right on with all the advice.. And yes you should keep it inflated to the proper psi. i have had nothing but problems with mine because the PO who i bought it from stored it flat for a year. i have reglued almost every seam

Went down to pay tax and get it titled, turns out you don't PAY tax on inflatables.

I don't understand the reasoning, but I'm not going to argue with the lady. Wink

If the wind drops down below gale force tomorrow I'm going to put it on Lake Travis for a test run.
