Got out of work early on Friday so headed home, loaded up the kayak and my dog and then stopped off to get ice before heading to PINS. When I got there I didn't see much weed on the beach, if any at all, within the first 5-7miles but then I started seeing more. Driving conditions were honestly so good on the well beaten path that a 2WD vehicle could make it no problem. Further down the beach I got the more weed I was seeing so I stopped a bit past the 15. About halfway down I run into a couple of trucks, one with the hood up so I stop and help them out. Pulled the codes from the check engine light and found the problem, helped them fix it and then kept going. Got to my spot around 4pm, set out a rod with fish bites and caught a few whiting in not much time at all. Set out another rod and used a chunk of whiting and picked up a 40" Jack Crevalle by around 5 or 530. Didn't get much action after that other than a few more whiting until right at dusk and I pulled in a small, but legal sized, blacktip but let that one go. After that I closed up everything and locked it all up until Saturday. Saturday I kayaked out a few baits but not much luck on them. Caught a few more whiting and a 25" red that I didn't even know was on the line cause of all the weed and grass which was much worse cause of the incoming tide on day 2. Rest of the time I was there it was slow and because of how bad the weed was I left a day early. Heres the pics.

Having some fun with my dog Dutchess. She has turned out to be the perfect dog. Never got any pics of her shredding the weed that was built up on the line.

Nice report! I've been wondering how long until the weed rolls in thick, judging by yours and a couple others posts, it's here to stay for a bit! Just out of curiosity, what's up with this pic? Shocked Shocked

Hopefully the weeds go away soon. Would like to not keep cleaning off 5lbs of weed per line every half hour. Would probably have had better luck if it wasn't for all the weeds.

LOL ya sorry, it wasn't my best report and wanted to add a few more details but decided to cut it short after the first half.

Ya that will be the first thing I put into my pack next time, lol. I'm still feeling the pain from it.

The jack was a great fight. It also tastes real good.
